Thanks to software frameworks and libraries that have become quite powerful over time, even with a compact and inexpensive system, it is possible to achieve complex functions. In this project, we use an Arduino Uno R4 board and other hardware to make a rather versatile and performing sound synthesizer and MIDI sequencer. In the first part of a series, we describe the block diagram and the main functions of the Basic Synth software.
