The board is useful for controlling (switching on and off) six independent users, which can be lights or other loads, using momentary switches.
"DIGITAL LIGHT CONTROL"
The board can control six lights, for six different environments, from one control point each. It is possible to increase the control points for each light by connecting multiple momentary switches in parallel to each input. This allows for a light controlled from multiple points without the use of two-way switches and inverters. The inputs are low voltage, and the current flowing in the input circuits is negligible, so small-gauge wire can be used for these connections.
The six outputs, available via their corresponding connectors,
offer a pure two-way switch: NC-C-NO, useful for controlling remote devices.
An Arduino nano.V3 controls the inputs by inserting a holdoff delay for debounce and stores the affected outputs.
The board has six LEDs, one for each
channel. When lit, the LED indicates that the channel is activated and
the switch from C-NC to C-NO has occurred.
The switch is activated by pressing a button connected to an input; it remains active. Pressing the button again returns the corresponding output to its initial state (C-NC).
The board is powered by a 12VDC DC voltage,
connected to the appropriate connector. It is protected against polarity reversals. Current consumption, with all channels activated, is 25mA.
A microswitch on the board, when pressed, resets
all active channels.
All inputs are protected against transients and are low voltage.
At power-up, and in the event of a blackout, when power is restored, all channels are inactive (lights off).
The board can be used in both residential and nautical applications.
